See How One Gaming Company Had 700 Influencers Apply to Become Content Creators

NYXL has been the premier flagship esports organization in New York since it was founded in 2019. It owns franchises that exclusively represent the state in three different esports leagues: the NY Subliners (Call of Duty League), NY Excelsior (Overwatch league), and NYFU (Valorant).

NYXL wanted to find the best of the best when it came to content creators. They offered a $50,000 contract to the top 10 creators in the Young Creator Program. They asked creators to submit their TikTok videos explaining why they would be a good fit for the brand. A group of semi-finalists were selected, brought to New York and asked to complete a number of tasks in front of judges to narrow them down to the top 10.

The original submissions were made on a website specifically for the project. NYXL used Sideqik’s entry form software to convert all the submissions into an easy-to-review list and then used advanced analytics from Sideqik to ensure the creators were an ideal fit.

There were over 15,000 creators who visited the form and 40 million views of #YXLproject on TikTok. Ultimately, they had more than 780 creators apply for the chance to lock in a contract. While only 10 were selected for this project, NYXL now has a massive pool of potential talent to expand when they are ready.
