Startup AtlantaThere are many things that may come to your mind when you think of the South – innovation is not typically one of these. In “the capital of the south”, Atlanta, this is changing at a rapid pace.

  • Cheap or no down payment office space
  • Investor connections
  • Small business loans

The other group, Startup Atlanta, is a group that links up startups and small businesses around Atlanta so that they can learn from and work with one another. What a great concept!

On August 21st the two organizations held an event for startups to come together and get talking.

They revealed some statistics that show how Atlanta is becoming the perfect place to host your startup. This event showcased some of Atlanta’s achievements in business development.

Business and innovation are alive and well in Atlanta and Sideqik is excited to be a part of it. A city that was once only known as the headquarters for Coca-Cola, Delta, and Home Depot now seems to have a different future, built on the shoulders of startups. Invest Atlanta and Startup Atlanta highlighted some of the startup successes from the past such as Manhattan Associates, EarthLink/Mindspring, N2Broadband, Scientific Atlanta, Internet Security Systems, Firethorn, SecureWorks, Vitrue and Pardot.

They also highlighted some bright stars for the future include AirWatch, Kabbage, MailChimp, Scoutmob, Sideqik, Silverpop. To be honest, we were amazed to see our name bolded along with these other great companies. We’re very honored to be part of this group and helping to grow jobs in Atlanta and in the region.
